Where to Go

Seattle is one of the most veg-friendly cities in all of North America. With nearly thirty strictly vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the city and an array of farmer's markets, there are many choices in vegetarian products and locally grown produce.

The Seattle area is home to an incredible variety of vegetarian and vegan restaurants and cafes, from the Teapot Vegetarian House on Capitol Hill to Cyber-Dogs downtown. In total, Seattle itself has nearly thirty strictly vegetarian and vegan restaurants, while the Puget Sound area is home to a total of more than forty vegetarian restaurants. There are also many restaurants with veg-friendly options that also serve meat and dairy.

Grocers and Co-Ops

Almost all Seattle-area grocers carry a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan products. The widest selections can be found at co-ops like PCC, Madison Market, Manna Mills, and others.

Farmers Markets

During the spring and summer, numerous markets open up, offering locally-grown, mostly organice produce. There are also several year-round markets.
