In the Seattle area, food cooperatives and national grocery chains alike carry a wide and continually growing selection of vegetarian and vegan products on their shelves. Nationwide, such products represent the fastest growing segment of the food industry, a fact that is evident when you step into any Seattle grocery store.

Natural Food Stores
The greater Seattle area has a large number of natural food stores and food cooperatives, including multiple locations of the Puget Consumers Co-op (PCC), as well as neighborhood co-ops such as Madison Market, Manna Mills, and the Sno-Isle and Skagit Valley Co-ops. While many natural food stores reserve special discount pricing for owner/members, most also offer excellent prices to the general public. Mainstream grocers
Not to be outdone by the local natural alternatives, most national chains in the Seattle area have opened natural foods sections or have begun integrating more vegetarian and vegan products into their aisles. Chains like Fred Meyer and QFC rate high on our list of options, if there's not a food cooperative in your area. For Veg Seattle's list of veg-friendly grocery chains in the Seattle area, go here.
