Veg Seattle is a campaign that promotes the pleasures of plant-based eating in the Seattle area. To support this campaign, we have launched the first-ever sustained television advertising campaign to promote vegan and vegetarian choices, and to show that one can easily transition to a healthy plant-based diet.
  
 

More About Veg Seattle

The primary objective of the Veg Seattle advertising campaign is to bring people to this, our newly redesigned website.

On this site we present a range of information on why and how to become vegetarian and vegan, including just about every veg-related resource available in the Seattle area.

Modeled after VegDC.com, VegSeattle.com joins a growing list of one-stop vegetarian resource sites for different U.S. cities and regions, including VegPhilly.com, SacVeg.com, and VegOhio.com, among others.

VegSeattle.com includes lists of veg-friendly restaurants, grocers, meat and dairy substitutes, veg products, local support groups, health and other articles, veg-related FAQs, and much more. The campaign also "closes the loop" with interested viewers by offering free information packs and other resources.

The Veg Seattle campaign was established by the Northwest Animal Rights Network (NARN) in 2001. NARN was founded in 1986 to promote the equal consideration of animals used for food, fashion, experimentation, and entertainment.

Veg Seattle is a not-for-profit campaign managed by a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization, the Northwest Animal Rights Network.


In order to help promote healthy, humane, and environmentally sound food choices for those in the Seattle area, please support Veg Seattle with a financial donation. Our average cost per 30-second PSA is $15, and so every donation of $15 or more that we get allows us to reach hundreds of thousands of Seattle-area households.

Run the Ads in Your Area!

On behalf of the NARN Board of Directors, we would like to extend an offer to any and all animal protection groups to make use of these PSAs in their local markets, or even on a national level. All of the Veg Seattle PSAs are intentionally void of any specific reference to Seattle. In other words, the television PSA component of this campaign is fully transferable to other areas, if groups are interested.


We have VHS copies of the Veg Seattle PSAs if you or your group would like to run them on TV channels in your area. We can also make available Beta or DV tapes if any groups are serious about running these PSAs in other markets. Contact us for details.
