Veg Holiday Celebrations

Whether you're looking to avoid staring down a dead bird this Thanksgiving, or you're new in town and looking for a place to celebrate the holiday, there are many potlucks where you can find compassionate people eating compassionate potluck feasts that involve no slaughter. (They're not all on the same day, which means you can also fill up on vegan food a couple of times, if you're so inclined!)

Other Veg Events

Need moral support or ideas for going veg? Want to meet like-minded people? There's a whole lot of Veg-related social events in Seattle!

Feature: Wayward Cafe

Wayward Cafe is under new management, (including the fine people from Pizza Pi, September's featured restaurant). The Cafe was in need of some work, but as of November 8th, it will be open for their regular hours of 9am-4pm, Tuesday-Sunday. Wayward Cafe is located at 901 NE 55TH St, Seattle, a block West of Roosevelt. Drop on in for a tasty breakfast or lunch, all day!

Feature: Pizza Pi

Pizza Pi isn't new, but it sure looks like it! Everything from the walls to the menu has been revamped, and they now serve a dazzling selection of delicious food: much more than pizza, and all 100% cruelty free! That must be why the PETA cooking blog named Pizza Pi the 2nd best vegan pizzeria in the country! Find out for yourself - first check out the new menu on their website, www.pizza-pi.net, then stop by and congratulate them in person on The Ave (5500 University Way NE, Seattle). Yum. Even fans of non-vegan pizza will be impressed!
